MaryLou Anne "Noonie" Erickson, 72, passed away on Friday, August 24th, at her home in Hillsborough, NJ. She was born in Elizabeth and grew up in Livingston. She lived in Warren, PA for 44 years before settling in Hillsborough in 2004. She graduated from Irvington High School and attended Upsala College. MaryLou was a homemaker who enjoyed working with children at Don Mills Achievement Center in Warren, PA, and locally as an aide at the aftercare program at Amsterdam School, and a lunch server at Woodfern School, both in Hillsborough, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. MaryLou enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and visiting Belmar beach. She was an avid fan of Rutgers football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Louis Larsen, and her grandson, Jake Harris. MaryLou is survived by her children; Diane Harris and her husband Jim of Moorpark, CA, William Erickson Jr., and his wife Cindy of Shamokin, PA, and Jeffrey Erickson and his wife Janine of Hillsborough, and her 7 grandchildren, Justin and Sarah Hopp, Patrick, Noelle, Shane, Hailey, and Jessica Erickson. Funeral services will begin on Friday, August 31st at 9:45am in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Hwy 206, followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Mother of God Church, 157 S. Triangle Rd., Hillsborough. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visiting will be Thursday from 24 & 79 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Don Mills Achievement Center, 677 Hospital Drive, Suite J, Warren, PA 16365, and designate funds for the preschool.
