On Saturday, Aug. 18, the Rouse Estate celebrated Youngsville's annual Corn Festival not only with participation in the parade, but with events at the Rouse Home, the Suites at Rouse and the Children's Center.
During the day, the Suites at Rouse celebrated with a "Down on the Farm" picnic. The event featured a terrific picnic menu including corn on the cob and music by EJ the DJ. Also during the afternoon, the Children's Center used its new location to host a Chinese auction and carnival. Several Corn Fest-goers made their way to the Children's Center for an afternoon of fun!
During the evening, a community fireworks display was launched from the field across from the Rouse Home. Residents, employees, families and the community greatly enjoyed the show.
