Vernon L. Crippen, 67, of 4 Corral Drive Youngsville, PA, formerly of LottsvilleNiobe Road, went home to be with his heavenly father Sunday, August 26th, while surrounded by his family at his residence.
Vernon was born in Warren, PA on February 24, 1945, a son of the late Hazel I. (Haight) and Arthur L. Crippen.
He was employed as a Tool and Die maker at Ecco Machine in Lakewood, NY, and also had previously worked at Corry Manufacturing for many years.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War Era. He was a member of the E.U.M. Church in Youngsville. He voluntered at the Lottsville Cemetery and also worked with the Youth Fellowship at the E.U.M Church.
He was the husband of Sylvia L. (Bowers) Crippen who survives him. Also surviving are a daughter, Vicky (David) Whitford, of Youngsville, PA; a sister Veda Stubbs, of Jamestown, NY; 4 grandchildren, Mikayla Dyer, Ethan Dyer, Aaron Whitford, and Amanda Whitford; 2 aunts, 1 uncle, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 24 & 68 pm at McKinney Funeral Homes in Youngsville. Friends are also invited to call Wednesday, August 29th from 10 11 am at the E.U.M Church, where a funeral service will be held at 11 am with Pastor Anette Gerber officiating. Full Military Honors will be held at a graveside service at Lottsville Cemetery immediately following the service at the church.
