If you have some spare time and want to have fun the Kitchen Band is looking for new members. No musical talent is required just people wanting to have fun and bring some sunshine into other people's lives.

Rod and Gun will be the place for our last picnic on Aug. 30. Hot dogs, corn on the cob, calico beans, watermelon and cupcakes are all included as well as a lively game of rip-off.

The 2012-2013 bowling season for the Sunshine Mixed League starts this Wednesday, August 29, at Riverside Lanes on Struthers Street in Warren at 12:30 p.m. If you're interested in becoming a part of this league, please call Zelda at 406-4216. Enthusiastic spectators are always welcome!

All non-casino trips leave from the CRI parking lot located on Pennsylvania Avenue West, just over the railroad tracks on the left (along the river), unless otherwise instructed to park elsewhere. Salamanca Casino trips depart from the Big Lots parking lot at the Warren Mall, as always. Not sure, just call 723-3237!

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. M-F with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Mon. & Wed. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays. Hot lunches are available Mondays-Fridays at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.

Lunches

The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Aug. 27-31: fish Monday, meat and cheese sub Tuesday, parmesan chicken Wednesday, barbecued ham on a bun Thursday and chef surprise Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
