Treasures
Dear editor,
Most letters to the Editor are about a complaint, but I decided to write a positive one.
I went over to the Humane Society building the other day, and on the way out I noticed some benches placed by the river bank. I decided to sit awhile. I was struck by how beautiful it was there, with the green hills, and the river flowing by, and I thought, how many people that live in this area realize how fortunate we are. I don't know whether we deserve it or not. I don't think these treasures just happened.
My wife has Alzheimers, and is in a nursing home, but she is being taken care of. We have a lot to be thankful for. Here we don't get floods, tornados, wild fires, and mud slides. It's a great place.
Sincerely,
Carl Russo
Warren
