BUSTI, N.Y. - Three special races will be held this Saturday at Stateline Speedway sponsored by Leroy's Towing of Corry.
The Jeff Gunnell Street Stock Special was washed out last weekend and will head the program for this Saturday followed by the Super Sportsman Special and the Super Challenger Special.
Waterford's Chris Withers is the Street Stock king with a huge points lead over Stockton N.Y.'s Brian Crandall.
Jamestown N.Y.'s Dan Nocero Jr. has dominated the Super Sportsman class all year and has all but clinched the points title.
He has eight wins and leads second place Ron Burgen Jr. of Brocton, N.Y. by nearly 600 points.
Stockton N.Y.'s Chad Bender has a big lead in the Super Challenger division. Sinclairville N.Y.'s Scott Dellahoy Jr. is second followed by Jamestown N.Y.'s Nathan Lamb and Cherry Creek N.Y.'s Kyle Jackson.
The Super Late Model Championship is still up for grabs. Veteran driver Rich Gardner of Waterford has the advantage now, but a poor finish in the next two events could allow Warren's Dutch Davies to get his second title. Gardner leads Davies by 102 points which translates into just 11 positions on the race track. Franklinville N.Y.'s Greg Oakes is 167 points behind Gardner and the only racer in the top five without a Stateline title.
Eldred's Damien Bidwell has three feature wins and a 264-point lead over Stockton N.Y.'s Bob Dorman in the Crate Late Model division.
Waterford's Steve Kania leads Sherman N.Y.'s Chris Ottaway and Jamestown N.Y.'s Steve Moynihan in the Limited Late Models.
Sherman N.Y.'s Justin Carlson remains atop the E-Mod division - 103 points ahead of Warren's Butch Southwell.
Pits open at 4 p.m. Saturday with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Racing will start promptly at 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.stateline-speedway.com.
