Golf results

Bob Yucha had low gross of 37 and Dick Pollaro had low net of 29 in Youngsville Senior Golf League play Tuesday at Maplehurst Country Club. Bill Young had second low gross of 38 and Don Hook and Kim Reynolds shared second low net of 30.

Joe Bender and Ron Lemon lead the Monday Scramble League at Cable Hollow Golf Course with 87 points. Dave Bortz and Greg Senyo are second with 85 points and Rick Rohlin and Scott Pearson are third with 82 points. Bortz and Senyo had Monday's low gross round of 32.

Coaching contracts

At Monday's school board meeting the head coaching contracts of Tina Edwards for Eisenhower volleyball and Dave Fitch for Sheffield football were approved. In addition,

Bill Vanatta was approved as the new athletic coordinator at Eisenhower High School, replacing Tom Santo.

Hole-in-one

Joyce Puleo had her first career hole-in-one Tuesday at Conewango Valley Country Club. Puleo's ace came on the par-3 121-yard 16th hole, using a 7-iron. The shot was witnessed by Ann Follett and Sally Steele.
