Conewango Twp.

Crash. A two-vehicle crash on Market Street near Warren Commons resulted in one of the drivers being charged. According to Conewango Township Police, Connie Mahan, 106 Beckett Park, was charged with following too closely and no proof of insurance Tuesday afternoon. Police said a truck driven by Jonathan Nye was stopped in a work zone and Mahan's vehicle struck the rear end of Nye's at 3:44 p.m. Police said Mahan and a passenger in her car were injured in the crash and taken by Emergycare to Warren General Hospital for treatment.

Theft. Jessica E. Heasley of Kane was charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole $81.26 in merchandise from Wal-Mart at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday. According to Conewango Township Police, Heasley was spotted by Wal-Mart loss prevention agents, who contacted police.

Youngsville

Theft. Youngsville Borough Police are investigating an Aug. 2 theft from Youngsville Kwik Fill. An investigation by police and United Refinery Security personnel determined that an employee had been stealing from the business. Police said the investigation continues.

DUI. David C. Young, 57, of 235 Abraham Hollow Rd., was charged with DUI at 6 p.m. Friday. According to Youngsville Borough Police, Young was stopped on Old Pittsfield Road after officers observed him violating several traffic laws. Young was determined to be under the influence of alcohol, police said, and taken to Warren General Hospital for a blood test.

Mischief. Youngsville Borough Police are investigating vandalism that took place between 11 p.m. Aug. 3 and 7 a.m. Aug. 4 in Youngsville. According to police, someone stole a broken 'no parking' sign, vandalized a vending machine, and tampered with private property. Anyone with information is asked to contact Youngsville Police at 563-7555.
