AOC to hike
On Sunday, Aug. 12, the Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC) will hike in the Kinzua Bay area. This 4.5-mile hike will begin on FR 259 then continue on FR 263 past Dewdrop and Elijah runs and finish at an overlook of Kinzua Bay. GED instruction
The free day classes for GED prep and skill review at Hi-Ed will be held Aug. 1 to 29 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Officers to meet

Pork dinner set
The United Methodist Women's Group of the Grand Valley and Sanford Charge will be hosting a free community "Pulled Pork " dinner for all residents of Eldred and Southwest townships in Warren County, on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m., or until food runs out. The dinner will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Grand Valley United Methodist Church, on Goodwill Street (off Route 27 in Grand Valley) and will consist of pulled pork (in vinegar or barbecue sauce), cole slaw, baked beans, dessert and beverage. The fellowship hall is handicapped accessible.

The Ladies Auxiliary to Conewango Aerie 313, Fraternal Order of Eagles, will not meet Aug. 7 or 21. This month's meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 and 28, at the aerie clubrooms, Pennsylvania Ave. E.
