Julia Bauer crosses the Kinzua Dam — with her mother, Laura, supporting her at right — in front of a wave of runners during the 13.1-mile run portion of the Kinzua Country Tango Adventure Race on a hot Saturday in Warren. The Tango includes a 13.1-mile half-marathon, a 20-mile bike portion, a 2.2-mile swim, a 6+-mile orienteering course, a 4.5-mile run and an 8+-mile canoeing course. Dick Whiting and Dave Guiffre each had the low gross of 38, and Whiting and Joe Gabriel low net with 29, on Friday in the Cable Hollow Senior Men's Golf League.
Pat Hultquist had the most points with 8.5, Whiting led with eight pars, and birdies were by Ron Steffey, John Larson, Ross Cali, Dave Lopez, Don Anderson, Guiffre, Dave Spoto, Gene Keppel, Gabriel, and Harold Johnson.
