Dear editor,
"Was happy to see Senator Bob Casey take a stand against the discriminatory new voter law. He said The Commonwealth Court should bar the law from taking effect as planned in the Nov. 6 election.
A hearing on the lawsuit seeking to do that is set to begin Wednesday. Yet on Monday, July 23 the state admitted, in a filing before the judge that they "will not offer any evidence in this action that in-person voter fraud has in fact occurred in Pennsylvania"!
I urge local voters to take a stand and let their representatives know thy oppose this law. It is inflicting a burden on voting, essentially a poll tax, for people to get a the ID.
Unconstitutional... and unnecessary!"
Thank you,
Lois Conway
