Warren

Theft. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of theft which occurred between 6 p.m. July 31 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 1 on Route 6 near the Ludlow Street overpass. According to police, William Bell, 33, Pittsburgh, had his kayak stolen from underneath the Ludlow Street overpass. The following items were taken: a white, marbled, sit-in style Old Town kayak with boat launch stickers on the side, black Bending Branches Whisper paddles with chrome shaft, a Mighty Mite kayak carrier and a Therma-Rest air mattress. Items were valued at a total of approximately $920. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Eldred Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of theft which occurred between July 30 and 31 on Oil Creek Road. According to police, a known male victim reported a theft of scrap metal. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police or Warren County CrimeStoppers.

Pittsfield Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of theft which occurred between 12 p.m. July 1 and 2 p.m. July 29 at 1990 Stilson Hill Road. According to police, unknown actor(s) removed a black with gold plastic wheels, 5 HP Dingo go-kart model #285 from the property of Dennis L. Pilling, 61, of Youngsville. the value of the go-kart is estimated at approximately $300. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police or Warren County Crimestoppers.

Pleasant Twp.

Theft/mislaid property. Warren-based state police investigated an incident of theft/mislaid property which occurred at approximately noon on July 30 near the intersection of Lenhart Road and Grunderville Road. According to police, Michael Petrush, 28, of Warren placed items on his vehicle and accidentally drove away before retrieving them. The following items have been reported missing/stolen: a brown, leather, trifold wallet; a key chain containing various keys; a Samsung cell phone; a buck knife and a Kodak Easy Share digital camera. Anyone with information regarding the items is asked to contact police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Sheffield Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police investigated an incident of criminal mischief which occurred between 9 a.m. July 23 and 1 a.m. July 25 between the 300 and 600 blocks of Four Mile Road. According to police, someone broke windows belonging to two different victims in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Sugar Grove

Burglary/theft. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of burglary/theft which occurred between Aug. 1 and 2 at the McIntyre Garage on Wilson Street. According to police, unknown actor(s) forced open a door and stole several items from Raymond Bowen, 45. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police or Warren County CrimeStoppers.

Tidioute

Warren arrest. Tidioute Borough police, with the Warren County Sheriff's Department, report taking Alexander Layden into custody at approximately 1:25 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2 on a warrant for burglary and loitering at night time. According to police, Layden was arraigned before District Judge Cynthia Lindenmuth and committed to the Warren County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Youngsville

Simple assault. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of simple assault which occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on Aug. 1 in the area of Homestead Drive. According to police, a known, 57 year-old, female of Youngsville was observed to have suffered physical injury due to a domestic dispute with Stanley Rakoski, 55, of Youngsville. Upon further investigation, Rakoski was taken into custody on charges of simple assault and harassment. Rakoski was arraigned before District Judge Cynthia Lindenmuth and committed to the Warren County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Identity theft. Youngsville Borough police report investigating an incident of identity theft which was reported on July 31. According to police, a known, female borough resident reported illegal transactions have been made using using her debit card information. Alleged transactions were made through online dating sites Eharmony, Group On and Zoosk. The charges were reported to the resident by her bank's fraud department. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police.
