Golf results

Hallie Dubia had low gross of 39 and Janeal Hedman had low net of 33 in Ladies Tuesday Golf League play at Conewango Valley Country Club. Here are the flight-by-flight results from the round:

The team of Roy Swanson and Lee Cole had the round's low gross score of 34 in Kim's Kafe Tuesday Scratch League play at Blueberry Hill Golf Club. The teams of Gary McCullough and John McHenry and Fuzzy Merenick and Bill Bones shared second low gross of 35.

Hole-in-one

Rick Rohlin recorded a hole-in-one on the 141-yard par 3 second hole Monday at Cable Hollow Golf Course. Rohlin's ace came using a 7-iron and was witnessed by Scott Pearson.

Bocce tournament

The team of Don McNitt, Bill Massa, Sr., Phyllis Broadbent and Fran Suppa finished first on Wednesday at a Warren Bocce Group eight-team tournament held at Betts Park. The runner-up team consisted of John Peterson, Kay Gray, Jan Carlson and Alice Tomassoni.

Over 30 softball

Randy Chase hit a run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring Kenny Frank and lifting Mangione Beverage to a 7-6 victory over Bullpen in Tuesday in the Over 30 Modified Softball League at Betts Park. Chase and Tim Munksgard were each 2-for-4 for the winners, and Mark Ordiway doubled twice. R.J. Bowers led Bullpen with a 2-for-3 effort with a homer.

In other action, Meridien Hardwoods scored 16 of its 18 runs in the opening three innings of an 18-14 win over Club Buck. Barry Klenowski was 3-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBI and Neal Kent added a homer and six RBI for the victors. Drew Wilcox and Klenowski each scored four runs apiece.

Dustin Wilcox, Pete Smith, Brandon Ferman, Ed Smith, Kent and Drew Wilcox all finished with two hits. Denny Viglo doubled in defeat for Club Buck.
