Edward Carl Almend-inger, 83, of Brockway Lane, Sheffield, Pa., passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center.
Mr. Almendinger was born November 14, 1928, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Frank and Marion Stanton Almendinger. Ed-ward was a member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed camping, mowing lawns and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Stranburg Al-mendinger, whom he mar-ried on July 24, 1976; three daughters, Shirley Ecker, Ashville, NY., Patricia Fel-lows, Sheffield, Pa., Debbie Myer and husband, James, also of Sheffield, Pa.; one son, John Almendinger and wife, Eugenia, Starbrick, Pa.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn, Dick and Bob Al-mendinger.
Friends are invited to at-tend a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Sheffield VFW, 1 Austin Hill Road, Sheffield, on Sunday, Au-gust 5, at 2 p.m.
