Dear editor,
The Warren Times Observer published an article on July 7, 2012 stating that Route 62 was going to have construction on five areas performed by PennDOT, On July 9, 2012 PennDOT painted Route 62 from Warren to the New York border, which includes the five areas that will be having construction.
The PA taxpayers paid for the paint, the wages for the employees and the equipment that was used to paint a road that was already scheduled for construction. Who does the planning for Warren County Penn Dot projects? After the construction on Route 62 the road will again need painted and the PA taxpayers will again pay for the paint, the wages for the employees and the equipment that will be used to do the painting. Some of our PA roads are in very poor condition. (Note Route 666 from Sheffield to Barnes) Could this be due to money being spent on unnecessary projects?
Sincerely,
Rick Sharpless
Sheffield, Pa
