Crate Late Models take center stage at Stateline

BUSTI, N.Y. - The Sunoco Race Fuels Crate Late Model Special will headline action Saturday at Stateline Speedway.

The young second generation driver Damien Bidwell, Eldred, is the Crate Late points leader and along with Centerville's Max Blair has three feature wins. Bob Dorman, Stockton N.Y., is second followed by Jamestown N.Y.'s Jason Genco, veteran John Haggerty, Olean N.Y. and leading rookie Freedom N.Y.'s Zack Carley.

Waterford's Rich Gardner is still on top of the Super Late Model points. Defending champion Dutch Davies of Warren is second and has a series-best three wins. Ashville N.Y.'s Dick Barton is third and is just seven points behind Davies. David Scott, Garland, is fourth and Franklinville, N.Y.'s Greg Oakes is fifth.

Steve Kania, Waterford, is the leading Limited Late Model driver followed by Sherman N.Y.'s Chris Ottaway and Steve Moynihan from Jamestown N.Y.

Sherman N.Y.'s Justin Carlson has an 84-point advantage over Warren's Butch Southwell in the E-Mods.

Kelly Frederes, Russell, broke into the Super Sportsman winners circle last week - a division dominated by Dan Nocero Jr. from Jamestown N.Y.

Street Stock driver Chris Withers of Waterford has won eight of the 15 Street Stock features and has a 300-point advantage over second place driver Brian Crandall of Stockton, N.Y.

With six feature wins, Chad Bender, Stockton N.Y., is the Super Challengers leader.
