Tennis news
A free girls tennis camp for any girl in grades 9-12 interested in playing on this year's Warren girls tennis team will be held beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, at the Betts Park tennis courts.
The Warren girls tennis team will hold its first practice at 8 a.m. Wednesday, August 15 at Betts Park. All players must have a completed physical at that time.
A Warren County Tennis Tournament, benefitting the Warren Area High School girls tennis team, will be held August 17-19 at Betts Park. Singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions will be held for all age groups. Each player will compete in at least two matches per division.

Chautauqua trap
Randolph nipped Carroll , 439-438, after going to the ninth shooter to break the tie in Chautuaqua County Trap League competition on Thursday. In other action, Busti got past Celoron, 345-343. Perfect scores of 50 were shot by Randolph's Shaun Russell, Carroll's Jim Nowacki and Mike Mackey, Busti's Jake Lindell, Craig Broberg and Charlie Brown and Carroll's Jerry Willett and Scott Carter. Carroll's Adam Prentice had his first 25 straight.
Sunny Linden was the high lady with a 48, Andrew Hvizdzak was high junior with a 48 and Ben Paddock was high sub-junior with his 47. Willett was the high vet with a 50, Hod Edgreen was high senior vet with a 49 and Al Staerr was high super senior vet with a 49.
