This weekend at Chapman State Park

The following programs are planned this weekend at Chapman State Park:

Friday, July 27, at 6 p.m. Why do Beavers Build Lodges? Meet the naturalist at the Amphitheater to find out the answer to this question. Enjoy a short hike to view a beaver lodge and end the evening making your own lodge.

Friday at 9 p.m. Movie: Life: Mammals- Join renowned, naturalist David Attenborough on a journey, around the world, to discover amazing mammals. Meet at the Amphitheater. In case of rain meet at Pavilion #4.

On Saturday, July 28, at 4 p.m. Case of the Car Trunk Caper Join the Park Naturalist to discover the world of Wildlife Forensics. Become a Wildlife Conservation Officer and help solve the crimes that have been committed against park wildlife. Meet at the Amphitheater.

Saturday at 7 p.m.GPS Scavenger Hunt: CSI-Mammalogy Division Learn about Citizen Science Investigations while combining it with the sport of geocaching. Participants will become investigators trying to solve a case in the Mammalogy Division. Meet the Park Naturalist at the Amphitheater.

Every Sunday there is a worship service at 10 a.m. Join Pastor Dave at the Amphitheater for a non-denominational worship service in the outdoors. (Pavilion 4 in case of rain).

Open Friday 1 to 8 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (closed Tuesdays) noon-6 p.m.

Use your camping receipt to receive a 10-percent discount on boat and bike rental.
