Dear editor:
Seven years ago, I moved away from Warren. I recently moved back and noticed a few things that I would like to share.
There have been many changes in the downtown scenery. Townhouses, lighting, sidewalk dining, and a new fountain. Pretty, but what are those critters on the fountain? I've never seen them around the Allegheny National Forest. It's still pretty though, when it's working. Anybody ever think of fixing the streets around it? You worry about what people from out of town are going to think about the chairs set out for the parade. They aren't going to care about them. They are, however, going to say "the roads in Warren suck"
I will say though, removing the dam in the Conewango was a good move. NOT! What exactly was that hurting?
I think the one thing that truly frightens me is the thought of a circus in Youngsville. Eek! What if the animals escape? I'm sure they would head straight for town, killing everyone in sight. Come on people, crying over a circus?
I think the big problem around not only Warren, but the entire country, is the fact that too many people care about things that don't matter. Chairs, a circus, a popular fishing spot. Why can't we focus on things that actually matter, and quit Boo-Hooing over every little thing. Complain about the roads, the high taxes, the stupid stop sign at the intersection of Liberty and Penn. Ave. Something constructive people.
There is my rant for today. Now don't make me come back and rant again!
Thanks,
Scott Redfield,
Warren
