On the backs of a seven run fifth inning, Crescent Beer sailed to a 10-3 win over Mangione Beverage in Over 30 modified softball action on Tuesday night at Betts Park.
In the fifth, Jeff Berdine had a key two run single. Jason Raflaski with a double and Eric Rosequist also had run scoring hits in the frame.
Rafalski finished the contest with two hits, including a double. Donnie Cummings had two hits including a home run and Brian Swanson chipped in with two hits as well. Mike Massa made several outstanding plays defensively at third base.

In other action, Midtown Motors scored seven runs in the third and 12 runs in the fifth to thump Accent Staffing 23-3. Dan Zamboric picked up the win for Midtown and Dave Zambardo was credited with the save. No other details were reported.
Kwik Fill downed Buckhorn by a score of 5-2. Mark Hoder and Rick Thorpe had doubles in the victory for Kwik Fill. Jerry Nelson was the winning pitcher.
Meridien Hardwood rode an eight run second inning to an easy 16-7 win over Freddie's. For Meridien, Barry Klenowski was the winning pitcher and also had three hits in support of his own cause. Also for Meridien, Brandon Ferman, Ed Smith, Tim Porter and Andrew Harrington all had two hits in the victory.
