Thanks to Warren General Hospital Auxiliary and a local group called Art Link, the hallways of the WGH Cancer Center are always colorful. Bringing sunshine and color into the lives of the many patients receiving therapy at the Cancer Center, WGH volunteer Martha Adams has been coordinating shows by local artisans in the hallways of the center. The showings will continue through fall, when the interior renovations of the center begin. This month's art has been supplied by Debbie Edling. Showing off two of Debbie's pieces of art is Cancer Center volunteer, Linda Huber. Since its inception in the fall of 2009, the Cancer Center has seen creations by Kristy Olsen, Cindy Hartburg, Christine Mesmer, Kelly D. Hunt, Carol Songer, Millers Outdoor Photography, Susie Haupin, Joanne Oviatt, Eileen Bovard, Olivia Sechriest, Elissa Davis, Christine Kinter, pieces by the Quilters Night Out Quilt Guild, artwork from the Russell Girl Scouts and paintings by the art students of the Warren County School District. Any local artisan or group who wishes to join the program should contact the center at 726-1786. The WGH Auxiliary hopes that other talented people in the community will help with this great project.
