Norman Leo Cassatt, 83, of Schumann Road, War-ren, Pa., passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012, at Kinzua Valley Health Care.
Norman was born April 19, 1929, in Clarendon, Pa., the son of the late Howard and Bessie Wilbur Cassatt. Norman served in the US Navy during the Korean War in communications and logistics. He worked as a Pressman for the Warren Times and also as a camera man, from which he retired. He later worked at Whirley Industries, Comet Market, the DMV as a photographer and a school bus driver. Norman enjoyed giving his time to volunteer organiza-tions and was a Hospice Volunteer and a VA Volunteer. He was also on the Clarendon School Board.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Louise Cassatt, whom he married on Au-gust 14, 1951; three daughters, Christine E. Givner, and husband, James, Fredonia, NY, Diana M. Sheehan, and husband, Duane, FL and Geraldine I. Kraemer, and husband, Ed-ward, Warren, Pa.; two sons, Mark C. Cassatt, and wife, Laura, Huntington, IN and Dennis A. Cassatt, Warren, Pa., seventeen grandchil-dren; ten great grandchil-dren; and several nieces and nephews, including Donna Dyke and George Cassatt, who held a special place in Norman's heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on July 17, 1997, by his daughter, Patricia L. Hancock; and three si-blings, George and Howard Cassatt, and Lois Knapp.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Fun-eral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Wednesday, July 25, from, 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral ser-vice will be at the First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, July 26 at 11 a.m., with Rev. G. A. Han-kins, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, 1128 State St., Erie, PA 16501-1920.
