Russell M. Houghwot, 77, of Old State Rd., Sugar Grove, died Fri. July 13, 2012 at the Blair Hospice House in Warren.
He was born Feb. 28, 1935 in Frewsburg, the son of Merle and Lois Woodard Houghwot.
Before retiring, he had worked at Pepsi Cola Bot-tling Co. for over forty years.
He was a US Marine veteran serving from 1952 to 1955, town constable for the town of Carroll for many yrs., past member of the Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion, Frews-burg, and the Lakewood Rod & Gun.
Russell is survived by his wife, Dolores "Dody" Beichner Houghwot, four children: Reggie (Karen) Houghwot and Daniel (Carolyn) Houghwot of Frewsburg, Tom (April Ris-tau) Hoover of VA, Michelle (David Smith) Hoover of North Warren, Pa.; six grandchildren: three great-grandchildren: one brother, Merle (Betty) Houghwot of Jamestown; two sisters: Edna Bennett of Frewsburg, Phyllis (Richard) Warner of Sugar Grove, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an in-fant daughter: Dawn Marie Houghwot, three brothers: Norman, Lyle,and Harold Houghwot, and two sisters: Jean Green and Clara Moore.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg, The Rev. Neil Siefert, Hospice chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.
The family will receive friends on Wed. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service in the funeral home.
