Clyde Raymond Darling, 91, Warren, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the John and Orpha Blair Hos-pice House.
Mr. Darling was born August 7, 1920, in Youngsville, Pa., the son of the late Charles and Emma George Darling. Clyde proudly served his country as a Diver in the US Navy during World War II, and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was employed by Sylvania for many years in management, from which he retired in 1982.
He was a former member of the Joseph Warren Lodge #726. Clyde loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He enjoyed attending reunions with his former Navy shipmates that his wife, Marian, coordi-nated for over twenty years. Clyde also loved his family and enjoyed the companionship of his pet dogs.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Darling and wife, Lila, Hummelstown, Pa. and Reginald Darling and wife, Theresa, Warren, Pa.; three grandchildren, David Darling, Hummelstown, Pa., Oren Darling, West Lafayette, IN, and Holly Coffaro, Sugar Grove, Pa.; two great-grandchildren, Clayton and Kara Coffaro; and one brother, Theodore Darling, Hancock, NY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on May 19, 2012, by his wife of over 69 years, Marian Irene Darling, whom he married on June 17, 1943, in Mayburg, Pa.; two brothers, William Darling, Sr. and Roy Darling; and three sisters, Bernice Winchester, Laura Dyer, and Carrie Winchester.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Monday, July 16, for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Rick Rohlin, pastor, Praise! Fellowship, officiating.
Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
