Pine Grove Pioneers have had a busy few months. Work with project animals began in April. This continues on Wednesday evenings.
In May, the club took their turn at Clover Days sale on May 3. Members present were Samantha Hensley, Chelsea Messinger, Iris Danielson and Clover Bud Emily Roberts. Leaders Pete and Linda Westover brought a cow while Iris Danielson, Messinger, and Roberts brought their goats.
The club's May business meeting was held at Maple Ridge Farms where members made maple syrup candy and a dessert topping called Cajeta. Jennifer Grooms was a guest speaker. Grooms brought supplies and showed members how to make a catapult.
The club thanked Milton from Double Rainbow Farms for bringing several horses to give rides. They also thanked Grooms for her participation in the business meeting, as well as the Cables for letting them use their farm for the May meeting.
The club will hold its next business meeting on July 15 at 6:30 pm at Wiltsie Church in Russell. The public is welcome to attend. By Pine Grove Pioneers Club President Samantha Hensley.
