Transplant support offered
Close to the Heart Transplant Support Group will hold a "Get to Know Us" picnic on Tuesday, July 10, at 5 p.m. at Betts Pavilion at Betts Field. Are you on the transplant list, soon to be listed, lost a loved one before or after, already had a transplant or are a donor family? Come meet us and find out what we're about. This will be a casual, relaxed gathering of friends who know where you've been or where you're going in the transplant process.
Class to breakfast
Youngsville High School Class of 1961 will meet for breakfast at Richard's Restaurant in Youngsville on Wednesday, July 11, at 9 a.m. All class alumni from grades one through 12 are welcome to attend. Take spouses, significant others and friends.
Class to lunch
Warren High School Class of 1959 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Docksiders. The facility is handicapped accessible. Class members, spouses, guests and friends are invited. In case of rain or excessive heat, there are indoor tables.

Seats are still available to travel with the Allegheny Community Center to Chautauqua Institute to see Scott McCreary, the 2011 American Idol winner, on July 13. Tickets are $45. The bus will leave CRI at 4 p.m. with dinner on your own on the grounds. For more information, call the Allegheny Community Center at 723-3237.
Blood sugar screening
There will be blood sugar screening at the Allegheny Community Center on July 10 from 11 a.m. to noon in Room #219. The screening will be done by Nancy Mague, diabetes coordinator from Warren General Hospital. No fasting is necessary.

Warren High School Class of 1950 will have lunch at noon Thursday, July 12, at Docksiders, Rt. 59, Warren. Participants will carpool from Warren Shurfine at 11:30 a.m.
Paint in planned
Warren Art League will have a paint in at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at the home of Lynn Bentz, 110 Leda Lane, off Rt. 59. Participants should take a dish to share and a swimsuit.. There will be no meeting at the church this month.
