Theft. Conewango Township police received a complaint of a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred between 5 and 5:30 p.m. July 6 at Warren Commons. According to police, while the driver of a semi-truck was making a delivery at Variety Buffet someone removed an undetermined amount of cash, a backpack, two phones and several miscellaneous items from the truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police, 726-0725, or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to an ATV accident on Saturday at the intersection of Wilson and Jones Hill roads. According to police, an ATV operated by Raymond Hamilton, 26, Youngsville, was traveling at a high rate of speed on Wilson Road and attempted to turn onto Jones Hill Road. Police said it slid off the road and rolled, throwing Hamilton and a 24-year-old female passenger off. Police said the passenger was flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie and Hamilton declined medical treatment. Police said Hamilton, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol, was taken into custody for DUI. Police said charges are pending.
