Harassment. Conewango Township Police reported that on July 6 at 11:10 a.m. Karin Lee Dunham, Youngsville, entered room number 15 at the Red Carpet Inn where Robert Repine and Jennifer Ames were staying. Dunham entered into a verbal altercation with Repine who instructed Dunham to leave the room numerous times before she complied. After leaving, Dunham stood outside the room pounding on the window and shouting at Repine and Ames. Police charged Dunham with harassment for the violation.
Deerfield Twp.
DUI. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on McCauley Hill Road at 11:35 p.m. July 4. According to police, Matt Maloof, 35, Tidioute, was southbound on McCauley Hill Road and lost control of his vehicle, which began to yaw counter-clockwise. The 1994 Chevrolet Lumina dropped off the left shoulder of the road and struck a tree with the front passenger side door area. Police said upon impact, Police said Maloof was not wearing a seat belt, and was thrown to the passenger side of the vehicle, sustaining serious injury. He was treated at the scene by Tidioute volunteer firefighters and Emergycare EMS, then life-flighted to UPMC Hamot in Erie. Police said Maloof was subsequently determined to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Police said charges of DUI and driving vehicle at safe speeds are to be filed at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth's office.
Pleasant Twp.
Accident. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Pleasant Drive at 7:05 a.m. Monday. According to police, Andrew Lander, 25, Warren, and Gregory Midura, 24, Westfield, Mass., were southbound on Pleasant Drive and Lander slowed down to turn onto the driveway at Warren Manor. Police said Midura didn't adjust the speed of his 1995 Mercury Marquis enough and struck the rear bumper of Lander's 2008 Ford Focus. Police said Midura sustained a minor injury; both drivers were wearing seat belts. Police said Midura was charged with following too closely.
Spring Creek Twp.
Burglary. Carl Benden, 72, North East, reported to Warren-based state police that between 5 p.m. July 2 and 5 a.m. July 3 someone entered a wooden shed on his property at 771 Tri-County Line Road and removed a blue Honda ATV. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Charged. Warren-based state police said Chad Carlson, 21, Sugar Grove, has been charged with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault following their investigation of an incident that occurred between June 23 and 25. Police said Carlson and a 14-year-old juvenile female became involved in a physical relationship. Police said Carlson was arraigned before District Justice George Gregory and committed to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
