FRED PERKINS

Fred Fremont Perkins, 75, of Route 958, Bear Lake, Pa., died at his home Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

He was born in Bear Lake, Pa., on May 16, 1937, a son of the late Roy Hubert and Irene Dunton Perkins.

Fred was raised in Bear Lake, Pa., and attended Lottsville School. He lived and worked his entire life on his family farm. His cat-tle and animals were his priority after the passing of his parents. Fred always read the newspaper and listened to the news and was always interested in his family and neighbors. He had also worked with his father as a carpenter in ad-dition to farming.

He enjoyed woodwork-ing, hunting and Case trac-tors.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a sister Ger-trude Bidwell in 2008 and a brother Hubert Perkins in 2000.

Fred is survived by a sis-ter Minniebell Nagel of Pa-nama, NY., and a brother Wilbert Perkins and his wife Patricia of Bear Lake, Pa., and many close and caring nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to at-tend a graveside service at Bear Lake Cemetery, Bear Lake, Pa., on Saturday at 11 am. Rev. Robert Howles of Sugar Grove and Lottsville United Methodist Churches will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Bear Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Center St., Bear Lake, Pa. 16402.

Arrangements are under the care of Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, PA 16407.
