GED prep

classes planned

Immediate Unit 5 will offer free "GED Preparation and Skill Review" classes in July through August in cooperation with the Warren Forest Higher Education Council.

Daytime classes will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.; and evening classes will be held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hi-Ed office on the Warren State Hospital grounds at 589 Hospital Dr., Suite F.

Hospice donations

Hospice of Warren County, a non-profit affiliate of Warren General Hospital, received contributions in June in memory of the following: Norman and Viola Abbott, Jane Betts, Janyce Bunk, Dr. Frank Butt, Theresa Care, Joseph Carra, Alice and Pete Christensen, Marcia Cosmano, James Cowan, Peggy Cree, Marian Darling, Jerry Davis, Albert "Bob" Denardi, Jack Donovan, Denise Dorrion, Richard Eck, William "Bill" Fitzgerald, Elvera and Raimer Forsgren, Maxine Frid, Sallie Gilford, Robert Guiffre, Dennis Hahn, Dorothy Kasaback Hansen, Clyde Harmon, James Holmes, Paula Hutchings, Stephanie Jung, Charles Karekanich, Charles Karekanich III, Patty Karekanich, Wallace "Wally" Kujava, Jeanne Kylander, Adam Marusiak, Roger Mesmer, Betty Miller, Betty Morrison, John Nordin, Florence Palmer, Richard Peterson, Joy Shaw, Ellen Spear, Mary Stites, Gretchen Tingwall, Richard Wagner, Earl Walters, Evelyn Walters, Conrad and Myrtle Youngberg, and Irene Zawacki.

Donations were also given in honor of Elizabeth Jones's 90th birthday.

Donations can be made to Hospice of Warren County at P.O. Box 68, Warren, Pa. 16365 or online at www.hospiceofwarrencounty.com/donations. Donations support the comprehensive Hospice Program, including the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Residence, Palliative Care Service, DeFrees Support Program, and extensive bereavement services.
