This battle between the two Senior American Legion Baseball League teams from Warren goes to Warren Post 135.
Post 135 jumped out to a 6-0 lead through three innings and cruised to an 8-2 record with an 8-1 victory over Blair Corporation at Old Legion Field.
Monday was just the start of what will be a busy week for Post 135. The club is scheduled to play a doubleheader with Sugar Grove Post 758 at 5 p.m. Friday at Old Legion Field, a doubleheader with Blair Saturday at Old Legion, beginning at 12 p.m. and a single game with Corry Savings Bank Sunday at Old Legion.
On Monday, Todd Fasenmyer got things going for Post with a first-inning single and Hank Morrison drove him home with a double. Moments later, Matt Jaskolka singled home Morrison to make it 2-0.
In the third inning, Post 135 stretched the lead to 6-0 on the strength of an RBI triple from Jaskolka and RBI singles from Ryan Gustafson, Dan Maeder and Brad Walters. Blair would get one run back in the top of the fifth when Carter Cerra scored on a passed ball, but Post 135 continued to lead 6-1 through five innings.
The winners would add some insurance in the bottom of the sixth, adding two more runs to the tally on an RBI double from Gustafson and a sacrifice fly from Maeder.

Jaskolka was strong for Post 135 in the win, allowing just one run on four hits in seven innings of work on his way to the victory.
