Mark C. Hogan, 59 of Davis Road, Corning, NY, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Winchester
Medical Center, Winchester, VA after a bicycling accident.
Born April 23, 1953 in Corning, NY, he was the son of the late John J. and Anna (Dinilich) Hogan. Mark and Lori Fox married March 20, 1982 in Corning, NY.
Mark retired in 2008 after being employed for 35 years by Corning, Inc. He worked as a Skilled Tradesman and also as an EAP Counselor, helping many throughout the years. His compassion and ability to care for others carried through in his everyday life. Mark was also an avid bicyclist. He went on many bike trips throughout the United States along with fellow riders from the Corning- Elmira area. He had a love for exercising and fitness, especially at the Corning YMCA. He enjoyed remodeling homes, often using his unique sense of design. Mark's greatest joy came from interacting with his friends and family. He was a devoted husband, brother and
uncle. His smile and compassion will be missed by all who knew him

Rutkoski of Sheffield, PA. Nieces and nephews; Vinny Alfonso, Stephanie and Valerie Hogan, Jamie Boone, Raymee Fox, Mandy Dickerson, Kelsi Boyles, Meggi Wilcox, Dakota and Dylan Brooks and special great niece, Chloe Boone.
In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by a brother, Edward Hogan, uncle, Edward Hogan, mother-in-law, Viola Fox Rutkoski, father-in-law, Charles Fox, sister-in-law, Judy Fox Baumgrotz and nephews, Bryce Noyes and Sheldon Willis.
Friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, LLC, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral service will be offered at the funeral home, Friday, July 6, 2012 at 9:00 am. Committal prayers and interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Corning, NY.
