BUSTI, N.Y. - David Scott drove his way to victory lane in the $5,000 to win Fritz Seamens Super Late Model Memorial event Saturday at Stateline Speedway.
The race started with a four-wide salute with retiring veteran SLM driver Rod Maloy leading the way and ended with Scott holding off another veteran in Ashville, N.Y.'s Dick Barton for the victory. Maloy was SLM champion in 2001 and 2007 and is seventh on Stateline's all-time wins list with 23 victories.
In other competition, Chris Withers made it eight in a row in the Street Stock division after Steve Keith and Jason Covey tangled in the early laps. Ben Burgess Jr. lost the handle on his Super Sportsman car while leading that division's feature event and points leader Dan Nocero Jr. was there to pick up the victory.
Young Damian Bidwell won his second Crate Late Model feature in a green to checkers run, Cale Crocker drove to his first career victory in the E-Mod main event and Dustin Eckman held off Steve Kania for the victory in Limited Late competition.
Todd Bacon was the winner of the second Street Stock feature and Chad Bender went to victory lane in the Super Challenger series.
