Entering Sunday's elimination game with Johnsonburg, the simple question to ask was would this be the Girls Minors final outing of the postseason.
The answer was a resounding no.
Trinity Wennberg allowed only one hit and struck out nine Johnsonburg batters in a 12-2 Warren victory at Hawbaker Field in the Farm Colony Complex, North Warren.

Warren was able to find its offensive firepower early in the game, scoring three runs in both the first and second innings and a whopping six runs in the third.
Wennberg led off the bottom of the first with a single and quickly made her way to third after a stolen base and wild pitch. Alexis Nyquist was then able to knock Wennberg in with one of her two hits and Warren had a lead it wouldn't relinquish.

The biggest hit of the second inning was delivered by Gracie Wood whose double brought home a pair of runs. Wood struck again in the third with a three-run homer that effectively ended the game in the host's favor.
Wennberg made sure Johnsonburg would have no chance to rally, getting timely strikeouts each time the visitors threatened to get closer.
Celia Chase had a triple for the winners and Julia Lobdell, Wennberg and Nyquist all had multi-hit games for Warren.
