VBS, music day camp starting at Praise Fellowship

June 30, 2012
The Times Observer

Vacation Bible School and Music Day Camp will be held at Praise Fellowship, Russell, from 9 a.m. to noon July 2-6 and 11-13 (not including the Fourth of July). A musical performance will be the culmination of activities at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 15. As the world prepares for the Summer Olympics, Praise Fellowship prepares for their own Olympics. All kids and teens are invited to join the "Olympic Training Camp" and become Olympians for the first two weeks in July. The Olympians will learn and present Kathie Hill's Olympic themed musical, "Hans Bronson's Gold Medal Mission" at the end of camp. The musical will be directed by local music and theater teachers C.J. and Leah Lyons. Olympians will enjoy games, crafts, Bible study and musical rehearsals. Children who have recently completed kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome; high school students are encouraged to join as Olympic trainers. Also, adults are encouraged to join as Olympic coaches. Can't make it every day? Training camp is open every day and welcomes all. Call Praise Fellowship at 757-5758 for more information, or contact camp directors Leah Lyons (lyonslc310@gmail.com) or C.J. Lyons (chrslyns@gmail.com).
