Boys Majors Nationals all-stars
The Warren Boys Majors Nationals all-star team will compete in all-star competition against Bradford at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Farm Colony Complex in North Warren. The game will be the first of the postseason for the Warren team and the tournament will be double-elimination. Team members include, front row, from left, Chris White, Mitchell Bryant, Kolten Johnson, Chase Elmquist and Tyler Mahood; middle row, Adam Irwin, Evan Tremblay, Andrew Davidson, Aaron Morris, Adam Pascuzzi and Adam Munksgard and; back row, coaches Jeff Irwin, John Pascuzzi and Jeff Munksgard.

Golf results

The team of Joe Bender and Ron Lemon placed first in the Cable Hollow Monday Night Scratch League standings with 49.5 points. Greg Senyo and Dave Bortz were second with 44.5 points and the teams of Dan Knowlton and Gary Bailey and Rick Rohlin and Scott Pearson shared third place with 34 points each. Rohlin and Pearson had the low gross score for the week.

Jim Fehlman had low gross of 38 and Stub Meabon had low net of 31 in Youngsville Senior Golf League play Tuesday at Maplehurst Country Club. Jack Abplanalp, Ray Adams, Ron Brown, Pete Hofert and Dave Dibble all had birdies during play.

Chautauqua trap

Busti, Celoron and Randolph ended the first half of the Chautauqua County Trap League season in a three-way tie with identical 5-3 records. In this week's competition, Randolph topped Busti, 341-339 and Celoron beat Carroll, 335-324. Randolph's Marty Gawron had the round's lone perfect score of 50 and Busti's Dylan Hartman had his first 25 straight. A shoot-off for the first half title will be held on a time and date to be determined.

Tiffany Decker and Cindy Cable shared high lady honors with scores of 48, Hartman was the high junior with a 47 and Dalton Becker and Ben Paddock were high sub-juniors with 45's. Dave Straight was the high vet with his 49, Dick Starks and Gary Sickles shared high senior vet marks with scores of 48 and Al Staerr and Howard Arnold shared high super senior vet marks with scores of 49.

Basketball camp

Girls entering grades 1-6 are asked to signup for the Warren Girls Biddy Basketball League. The league is scheduled to run from September to mid-November. Girls will be placed on teams in three different grade brackets (1-2, 3-4 and 5-6).

Practices will be held two nights a week to start and once a week after games begin with one to two games being played a week. Teams will play against other Warren County teams. The cost is $25 and the fee covers costs with the remainder going to Lady Dragons basketball.
