June 26, 2012
By JONATHAN McAFOOS (jsitler@timesobserver.com) , The Times Observer

Blair scored three runs in the third inning and held on to hand Youngsville Post 658 just its second Warren County Senior American Legion Baseball League loss, 4-2, Monday night at Old Legion Field. It was the second straight victory for Blair, improving its record to 2-3.

Ed Dorunda went the distance on the mound for Blair, striking out four while scattering 11 hits. Dorunda jump-started the offense, hitting an RBI single to give Blair its first run of the game. Chris Danielson added a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 2-2, and Blair took the lead on an error before Ed Ord knocked in an insurance run in the sixth.

Youngsville had several scoring opportunities throughout the game, but Blair's defense limited the damage, turning three double plays. Dorunda started one himself - a 1-6-3 double play in the seventh inning before striking out the last batter to end the game. Collin Fantaskey turned one in the infield, and Colin DeLattre also had a double play on a fly out to left, doubling up a runner at second on a throw to Tanner Teconchuk.
