Dear editor,
I would like to tell your readers to take time to literally stop and smell the roses. Our fair city has become eye candy for residents as well as out-of-towners. Downtown Warren is a beautiful place to be. The Warren City Office and Northwest Bank have put in a fountain that symbolizes Warren County complete with deer, fish, and topped with a blue heron. It is a very attractive focal point in the area.
The beds of yellow Stella d'Ora Day Lilies make a striking contrast to the beds of Miniature baby pink Roses. When I drive through downtown Warren early in the morning, the sun makes the water droplets from the fountain sparkle and the flowers shimmer with dew. It is simply breathtaking.
I work in a small office in Warren. We have individuals that come from out of town quite often. They have all commented on how lovely the downtown Warren area is from the Hickory Street Bridge to the flower beds and sidewalk inlaid with brick trim to the fountain.
Thank you to all that are involved with beautifying America and especially our little town. You have made us proud.
Sincerely,
Arlene Papalia
Warren
