It's going to be a busy start to the week for local all-star teams.
A total of four clubs will either continue or begin postseason action on Monday and two more teams are slated to get underway later in the week.
Of the four games scheduled for Monday, only one will be played within the county. That will feature the Warren Boys Minors Americans (1-0) squaring off with the all-stars from Ridgway in a 6 p.m. showdown at Betts-Jackson.
The other Boys Minors team - the Nationals - open up their all-star season with a 6 p.m. road game against Bradford.
Also opening all-star competition on Monday will be the Boys Majors Nationals team. The Major Nationals will visit Kane, looking to get their postseason started on the right foot.
Fresh off a thrilling 3-2 victory over Brookville on Saturday, the Girls Majors (2-1) will look to advance to the loser's bracket finals when they face Saint Marys for the second time this postseason. Saint Marys defeated Warren, 6-4, last week. Like all other games on Monday, first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Wednesday is opening night for the Girls Minors all-stars from Warren. That club will open with a 6 p.m. contest in Ridgway. Starting on Thursday will be the Boys Majors Americans. They will play the winner of Monday's Bradford Nationals vs. Cameron County contest. The site of Thursday's game has yet to be determined.
Both the Boys Juniors and Boys 10-11 year-old all-stars will have to wait until next week to get going.
