Lena Anderson, 87, 112 Summit Ave., Jamestown passed away Wednesday June 20, 2012 in UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.

She was born April 27, 1925 in Pittsfield, Pa., the daughter of the late Metro and Mary Seminuk Manel-ick.

Lena was a 1945 gradu-ate of Youngville High School and in earlier years was employed by Sylvania in Warren, Pa. and the form-er Big N Department Store in Jamestown. Prior to re-tirement she was employed by Matco Tools for 10 years retiring in 1987.

She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, the Women's Bible Study of Zion Covenant Church and the Dianna Lodge of Vikings.

Lena was a very loving devoted mother and grand-mother who thought the world of her grandchildren. She was a hard worker who devoted the later years of her life to taking care of her disabled husband until she was no longer capable. She looked forward to the day when she would be with him again in heaven.

Her hobbies included taking care of her home, gardening, reading, her bi-ble, knitting and solving work puzzles.

She will be deeply missed by her son and daughter-in-law Scott and Traci Anderson, daughter and son-in-law Lori and Matt Lincoln all of James-town, and her four grandchildren: Nicholas Lincoln of Newport News, VA, Corey Lincoln U.S. Marine Corp stationed in Afghanistan , Jordan and Tiffany Anderson both of Jamestown; 3 brothers: Har-ry Manelick of Jamestown, Richard Manelick of Pitts-field, Pa., James Manelick of Youngsville, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl H. Anderson whom she married September 24, 1955 in Youngsville, who died August 4, 2001; 3 brothers: Nick, John and Bill Manelick and a sister Doris Lucie.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Fal-coner Funeral Home. Rev. Adam Steubenick of Bethel Lutheran Church will offi-ciate. Burial will be in Sun-set Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be donated to UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA.
