Two members of Warren's first District 10 Class AAA championship team since 1977 were named to the District 10 all-star team when selections were released this past weekend. Warren graduate Hank Morrison was included as the all-District 10 team's third baseman and classmate Matt Jaskolka was named to the team as an outfielder.
Across the county in Youngsville, Eagles graduate Cory Craig was honored as both the Region 5 pitcher and Region 5 player of the year.
Jaskolka and Morrison were also included on the Region 8 all-star teams. The Dragons were the region co-champions in Region 8, sharing the title with General McLane. Jaskolka was a first-team Region 8 selection as an outfielder and was named to the second team as a pitcher. Morrison was a second-teamer at third base.

Morrison batted .303 for the Dragons in 2012 with four homers and 23 RBI. He scored a team-high 24 runs for the 16-4 Dragons. Jaskolka also was strong at the plate with a .381 average, one home run and 16 RBI. However, he was strongest on the mound, finishing with a 5-1 record and a miniscule ERA of 0.56. He struck out a team-best 58 batters and walked just 16.
The duo weren't the only Dragons to find themselves with postseason honors. Catcher Andrew Bevevino, second baseman Eddie Dorunda, outfielder Chris Danielson and designated hitter Kevin VanOrd were all named to the Region 8 first-team.
Bevevino led the team with a .436 average while smacking one homer and 13 RBI. Dorunda hit .358 with 18 RBI, Danielson batted .387 with 12 RBI and VanOrd hit .370 with a homer and 13 RBI despite missing much of the first half of the season.

Dorunda also earned a second-team selection at pitcher and Preston McMeans was the second-team pick at first base. McMeans finished his senior year with an average of .300 while driving in five runs. On the mound, Dorunda led the team with six wins. He had an ERA of 2.69, struck out 27 batters and walked only seven.
In Region 5, Craig was the highlight in what was a tough season for the Eagles. In his final season in the red and white, Craig - who recently signed on to play Division II baseball at California University of Pennsylvania - finished with a 1.69 ERA despite carrying a 1-5 record. Region all-stars are selected by a vote of the region coaches and those coaches didn't overlook Craig's impressive numbers, including a stretch of 34 straight innings without allowing an earned run.
Offensively, Craig won his fourth straight batting title for Youngsville, collecting a .404 batting average and driving in a team-best 12 runs. In addition to his nod as the region player and pitcher of the year, Craig was a first-team selection as both a pitcher and a shortstop.
Craig's teammates were also well represented on Region 5 all-star teams with one teammate joining him on the first-team and four more making the second-team. Outfielder Jake Marino was Youngsville's other Region 5 first-team selection.
Second-team picks for Youngsville included catcher Broc Horn, first baseman Sawyer Dininny and outfielders Caleb Linkerhof and Dan McLaughlin.
Despite making the playoffs in 2012, the Eisenhower Knights baseball team was only rewarded with three region all-stars. Pitcher Aaron Jackson had a tremendous senior season on the mound, earning a first-team nod as pitcher and Jeb Fedorchuk was named to the first-team as an outfielder. Teammate Shane Arford was a second-team pick, also in the outfield.
Here are the District 10, Region 5 and Region 8 all-stars for the recently completed season:
