The Regional Center for Workforce Excellence, on behalf of the Northwest Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board, held the Ninth Annual Northwest Pennsylvania Youth Partnership Awards Luncheon May 24. The Youth Partnership Awards luncheon celebrated the achievements of individual youths who have participated in the services and activities of the Workforce Investment Area system. The event also recognized organizations that have helped to provide workforce development opportunities for youths in the region.
This year's event featured two speakers who have participated in the youth programs; they spoke about their involvement with the programs and how it has had an impact on their lives.
The awards and winners recognized at the 2012 Youth Partnership Awards luncheon included NWPA WIA Youth System Employer of the Year: Bollinger Enterprises, Inc., Warren County.
