Warren Philharmonic, Summer Music School and Main Street working together

June 14, 2012
The Times Observer

For the first time, an outdoor concert by the Warren Philharmonic will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21. In conjunction with the Main Street Program, the performance will take place on Second Avenue in downtown Warren, near the fountain where Second Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave. W. meet.

The public is invited to attend this free concert by the orchestra and Summer Music School instrumentalists and singers. Concert-goers should take lawn chairs for this one hour event, just like Music in the Park. In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Allegheny Community Center (ACC), 42 Clark St., second floor.

Bryan Eckenrode, music director and conductor of the orchestra as well as string and orchestra instructor for the Warren County Summer Music School, will lead the musicians in a variety of pieces that include "Sound of Music" and "Phantom of the Opera." The concert will also feature a guest appearance by Cristen Gregory, soprano.
