The request from the Rouse Estate for a $3 million bond for renovations to the facility was finally put to rest Wednesday when Commissioner John Eggleston made a motion to remove the item from the agenda until further notice.
Rouse Chief Executive Officer Jasen Diley and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Sedon made a request for the bond during the commissioners' meeting on March 14, and the issue was tabled two more times to allow the facility to explore other options.
The commissioners made quick work of a light agenda during their Wednesday morning meeting.
Three long-term members from the Transit Authority of Warren County were unanimously reappointed to five-year terms. The current terms of Dave Reagle, Gene Conklin and Jamie Steffan will expire in July and they have agreed to serve until July 2017.
The commissioners approved the county match request for the Department of Human Services' fiscal year in the amount of $893,820.
Commissioner Chairman Stephen Vanco said the amount was identical to last year's request, but a reduction from the state of 10 to 20 percent is expected.
"We do this every year," Commissioner John Bortz said. "I've often referred to it as the informal kicking-off of the budget process; this is a number now we'll have to keep penciled in as far as the allocation is concerned."
The commissioners also approved an Interlocal agreement with the City of Warren and the Warren County Justice Assistance Grant for $11,339.
