Big 33 on PCN

The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will provide live coverage of the PNC Big 33 Football Classic at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 16, from Hershey Park Stadium. An encore presentation of the game will be shown at 11 p.m. that same night.

The game pits standout football players from Pennsylvania against a team of standout football players from Ohio. Among the NFL players that are Big 33 alumni are Ricky Watters, Joe Montana, Jim Kelly, Tony Dorsett, Joe Namath, Dan Marino, Kyle Brady and Ben Roethlisberger.

For 2012, Eisenhower head football coach Jim Penley is coaching the defensive line for the Pennsylvania team. Much of the rosters for both teams are made up of incoming freshmen Division I football talent.

PCN can be found on Atlantic Broadband channel 13 and Youngsville Cable Network channel 42.

Youth football

A registration session for the Warren County Youth Football League (grades 3-6) will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the entrance to War Memorial Field. If unable to attend the session, prospective players can bring all necessary registration forms to the first night of conditioning practice on Monday, Aug. 20, at Betts Park. No player will be permitted to begin practice until payment is made.

All players must submit a signed physical form before the start of conditioning practice. The league will accept a copy of the Warren County School District physical form for those students entering grade six (or a signed physician physical form completed within the past six months).
