Richard L. Jordan, 78, of Rt. 958, Lottsville, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at his residence sur-rounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born May 19, 1934 in Warren, a son of the late Emery and Genevieve (Mitchell) Jor-dan. Richard was self em-ployed as a truck driver, hauling milk and cattle in the area. He attended Lotts-ville United Methodist Church, and was a life member of the Sugar Grove AmVets Club. He enjoyed trips to the casino, his lot-tery tickets, and carrying his trimmer with him wher-ever he went, keeping vari-ous stop signs, intersec-tions and neighborhoods trimmed up. He will be greatly missed by his fami-ly and many friends.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (Schenck) Jordan, whom he married March 19, 1955 in Lottsville, his 3 children, Jeffrey "Toby" (Becky) Jor-dan of Lottsville, Jolene (Michael) Jordan Lowry of Pittsburgh, and Jill (Fred) Jordan Willett of Port Char-lotte, Fla., 6 grandchildren, Jaimee (Andy) Knight, Jodee Jordan, Jenna Jordan, Hope Lowry, Nicholas Lowry and Samantha Lowry, 8 siblings, Autumn Goldsmith of Fla., Joyce Russell of Sugar Grove, Lenore Schepper of Az., Lois Inter of Delaware, Jim Jordan of Bear Lake, Cork Jordan of Sugar Grove, Bob Jordan of Corry, Sally Frank of Sugar Grove, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 9 siblings, Carol, Shirley and Lawrence Jor-dan, Marge Kibbey, Ruth Moniak, Jean Briggs, Janet Frank, Howard Jordan, and Chuck Jordan.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Lottsville Unit-ed Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Howell, pastor, officiating. A cele-bration of life will also be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Sugar Grove AmVets Club. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Re-gional Home Health and Hospice, 13675 Rt. 6, Cor-ry, Pa. 16407 or to the Lottsville United Metho-dist Church, Lottsville-Niobe Rd., Bear Lake, Pa. 16402.
