Porch thievery

June 11, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

You would think you could trust people. I had a porch sale on Jackson Ave. this week. I had some free things and some sale items. I tried to use the honor system but it failed.

I had an electic antenna for sale for $20. I had a bike rack for a car for sale for $20. Someone stole both of these. I had signs clearly posted.

I had a cash box for people to deposit cash into. Someone even steals the box (no cash was in it at the time). The only satisfaction I have is that they cannot lock that box as I kept the keys.

You know who you are. You should be ashamed. If you are the one who ripped off my strong box, I would appreciate it if you would return it. Just set it back on the porch where you stole it from.

What has happened to honesty and integrity these days?

Barry Keller,

Warren
