Golf results

Skete Williams had low gross of 36 and Frank Anthony had low net of 29 in Tuesday Night Golf League play at Jackson Valley Golf Club. Here are the team standings through Tuesday's round:

Late Rec League

Crescent Beer finished 1-1 in Richard T. Betts Rec Modified Softball League play Wednesday at Betts Park, topping The Bucket 30-9 and falling to Fralic Chiropractic, 22-9. In the win over The Bucket, the winners got five hits each from Trevor White, Todd Breeding and Jim Evers. White, Breeding, Dave Stuart, Kevin Roberts and Evers all had two hits during a 16-run sixth inning explosion. Mike McIntosh and Cody Vincent had three hits apiece for The Bucket.

Chautauqua trap

Busti edged Celoron 343-342 and Randolph topped Carroll, 344-336, in Chautauqua County Trap League competition Thursday. Busti's Charlie Brown, Celoron's Kevin Sturzenbecker and Scott Carter, Randolph's D.M. Bifaro and Gary Sickles and Carroll's Mike Mackey all had perfect scores during competition.

Tiffany Decker was the high lady with a 48, Tyler Chase was high junior with a 49 and Dalton Decker was high sub-junior with a 47. Dave Kingsley and Chuck Travis shared high vet marks with 48's, Sickles was the high senior vet with his 50 and Bob Schilling and Red France shared high super senior vet with 48's.

Little League

Peterson-Blick Funeral Home's Austin Sweeney turned two double plays during a 9-5 Boys Majors loss to P.G.E. on Friday. Chase Elmquist doubled for the winners while Owen Balas and Adam Irwin doubled in defeat.

Julia Lobdell, Gracie Wood and Celia Chase were all 2-for-2 in Loutzenhiser State Farm's 15-9 Girls Minors victory over Means Sales & Service. Chase and Wood homered and Julia Lobdell struck out eight batters in three innings to earn the win. Alexis Courtney doubled and had all three hits for Means.
