Golf scramble

The 15th Annual Sheffield Rotary Club Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, June 16, at the Kane Country Club. The event will feature a 1 p.m. shotgun start and there is a $60 entry fee per golfer. The entry fee covers green fees, carts, prizes and a steak dinner following the event. To enter a team, contact Jim Borst at 968-3219 or Jim McMillen at 968-5479.

Girls Majors tournament champs
The Shaw House girls softball team went 3-0 on Saturday to win the WCYBSA Girls Majors tournament at the Farm Colony Complex. Team members, from left, are Emily Grove, Rachel Lemay, Clarice Pierson, Rylee Milkent, and Mya Grubbs and, back row, Ashleigh Deppin, Lilly Morse, Lexie Colvin and Faite Smith.

The Northern Area Youth Football Camp will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 18 through 21 at Eisenhower High School. The first two days will include basic football skills, and the last two days will feature a punt, pass and kick championship and a 7-on-7 passing tournament.

All-star football

Three Youngsville High School graduates will be participating in the first North-South Senior All-Star Game at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Hickory High School. Sam Lucas and Sage Sivak were selected as running backs and linebackers while Sawyer Dininny has a spot on the offensive and defensive lines. The Youngsville players will be part of the newly -formed Northwestern Pennsylvania Football Coaches Association, which will play against a south team sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Football Coaches Association.

Both teams rosters are filled by graduating seniors from District 10 as well as a few players from District 9. Athletes who participate in the North-South Senior All-Star Game are still eligible for the Big 30 Don Raabe Classic in August.

Lana Creal had the nine-hole low gross of 46, and Tammy Jensen the low net of 35, in Conewango Valley Ladies Tuesday Golf League. Here are the results from the round:
