Jr. Legion

Aaron Hoover, Thomas Henry and Tanner Humphrey had three hits each for Youngsville Post 658 in a Junior American Legion baseball

Hoover had 11 strikeouts in a complete game win in the first game of a doubleheader split. Jacob Linkerhof made a great play to end the game at shortstop with the bases loaded in a 10-8.

Girls Minors champs
State Farm Loutzenhiser won the Girls Minors WCYBSA Little League softball tournament on Saturday at the Farm Colony Complex. In a 14-5 win over Golden Living in the winners bracket, Madison Mohney, Gracie Wood and Celia Chase reached base three times each and Wood struck out six in two innings. In a 6-5 win over Golden Living in the final, Wood had a three-run home run and scored on a wild pitch with the go-ahead run in the third inning. Marissa Grubbs made two nice defensive plays and Chase struck out four in two innings for the win. Team members, from left, in front, include Mohney, Ashley Hoffman, Alex Neureiter, Kelsey Stuart and Adeline Werth and, in back, Wood, Chase, Seneca Bennett, Riviera Bennett, Julia Lobdell and Grubbs. Coaches, in back, are Brian Wood, Scott Chase and Jody Lobdell.

Golf results

The team of Ange Cusimano and Phil Cammarata finished with the low team score of 129 on Saturday in the Conewango Valley Country Club Weakest Link.

Mike McElrath and Greg Noon finished second at 134.

Little League

Ryan Arnold had two triples and a double in a 12-hit outburst for Peterson-Blick Funeral Home on Thursday in a Boys Minors win. He also worked a scoreless inning on the mound, striking out three of the four batters he faced.
